Indore, 2 December (HS). Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav reached Omkareshwar in Khandwa district on Monday and visited the statue of Adiguru Shankaracharya. He offered his respects and performed the puja while chanting Vedic mantras. The Batuks performed the puja with chanting of mantras. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav highlighted the importance of integral non-dual spirituality of Adiguru Shankaracharya. While addressing the program organized at Ekatm Dham located at Omkareshwar, he talked about completing Ekatm Dham in a phased manner. On this occasion, he visited the exhibition based on Ekatm Dham and also released a book and calendar in the Ekatm Dham premises.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that Adi Guru Shankaracharya was a unique great man. He spread the wonderful message of unity among the people. He has played an important role in protecting Sanatan Dharma and propagating its principles. Facing difficulties and struggles he came to Omkareshwar from Kerala to take initiation from his Guru. Om also has amazing glory. He said that the importance of a Guru depends on the success of his disciple. A Guru’s identity is formed by his disciples. Adi Guru Shankaracharya made his Guru initiation meaningful through his conduct and actions. He showed a new direction to the country. Adiguru Shankaracharya was a great bearer of the knowledge tradition. The knowledge system is flowing continuously in our country. We are living in the Guru tradition with faith and belief. Adi Guru Shankaracharya has given a big message of unity by establishing Peethas in all four directions of the country. Sages and saints have also played an important role in protecting the culture. The Chief Minister said that as per the concept, Ekatm Dham will be completed in a grand manner in a phased manner.
In the program of Mahamandaleshwar Dattatreya Ashram, respected Swami Vivekananda Puri said that Omkareshwar Mamleshwar is the abode of Advaita Ektaik. It is the center of Adiguru Shankaracharya and giving an identity to India. Omkareshwar has been the place of initiation and meditation of Adiguru Shankaracharya ji. Omkareshwar needs to be developed as the fifth Peetha.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav watched the documentary film based on Ekatm Dham Ekatik Global Center. On this occasion, an insignia of the statue of Adi Shankaracharya was presented to the Chief Minister. In the end, Principal Secretary of Culture Department, Shiv Shekhar Shukla expressed his gratitude. On this occasion, Divisional Commissioner Deepak Singh, IG Anurag, DIG Siddharth Bahuguna, Collector Anup Kumar Singh, MLAs Narayan Patel, Kanchan Mukesh Tanve and Chhaya More, District Panchayat President Pinky Sudesh Wankhede and other public representatives and a large number of saints were present.
The Chief Minister performed Jalabhishek after having darshan of Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga Mahadev.
Earlier, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav had darshan of Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga Mahadev and performed Jalabhishek. He prayed to Baba Omkareshwar for the prosperity, development and welfare of the state. The Chief Minister reached Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga from the foot bridge. During this, he observed the panoramic view of Mother Narmada and saluted Mother Narmada. He also discussed with the shopkeepers selling flowers and prasad. On this occasion, Omkareshwar Jyotirling Trust Trustee Rao Devendra Singh Chauhan, Assistant CEO Ashok Mahajan and other trustees presented a replica of Baba Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga to Chief Minister Dr. Yadav.
