Chief Minister did video conferencing with DC

Guwahati, 21 November (HS). Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma today held video conferencing with all the District Commissioners from his office at Lok Seva Bhawan and took stock of the progress made in the districts across the State for prompt distribution of financial assistance to the beneficiaries under the Chief Minister Mahila Entrepreneurship Campaign.

The Chief Minister inquired about the district-wise progress of various aspects of the Women Entrepreneurship Campaign and gave suggestions to resolve all the issues including completing the backend processes so that Rs 10,000 can soon be given to the women beneficiaries under the scheme. He said that since the state government is aiming to empower women through this scheme, its successful implementation will help in achieving the government’s objective of ‘self-reliant women’.

It is noteworthy that through the Chief Minister Women Entrepreneurship Campaign, the state government has helped women self-help groups to become rural micro entrepreneurs and to facilitate them in earning annual income through financial assistance in the form of grant in the form of entrepreneurship fund. Have envisioned. The Chief Minister asked to complete all the formalities of the scheme by December this year.

Chief Minister Dr. Sarma also took cognizance of the preparations of the district administration regarding early distribution of flood relief grant through DBT. He asked the DC to finalize the dates for formally handing over the financial assistance to the flood victims. The Chief Minister also asked DCs to decide on dates after consultation with guardian ministers for handing over benefits under the Anandram Baruwa Cash Award Scheme, bicycle and scooter distribution and microfinance loan waiver scheme. He said that the benefits under all the schemes should reach the beneficiaries by the end of December this year.

Education Minister Dr. Ranoj Pegu, Chief Secretary Dr. Ravi Kota, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. KK Dwivedi and other senior officials were present in the video conference.
