Patna, September 20 (HS). Due to the rain water released from the neighboring country Nepal, there is a flood situation in many districts of Bihar including the capital. All the rivers of the state are in spate and flood water has entered the low-lying areas. In such a situation, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar went out for an aerial survey on Friday. He conducted an aerial survey of the affected areas of the state and gave many instructions to the officials. Many senior officials were also present with the Chief Minister.
The Ganga river is in spate due to the rain water released from Nepal. Flood like situation has arisen in many districts including the capital Patna and chaos has arisen after the river water entered many villages. The water level of Ganga has risen above the danger mark at many places in the state. Ganga is flowing above the red mark at Digha Ghat, Gandhi Ghat and Hathidah in Patna. The river water is spreading in the low lying areas along the banks of Ganga in the capital Patna. The situation is going out of control in Patna as well as other districts of the state.
Ganga has also taken a fierce form in Munger. Here the district administration has issued orders to close schools in the affected areas. Flood-like conditions have also arisen in Chhapra. The approach path of Jayprabha Setu, which connects Bihar and UP, has been washed away. The water level of small rivers in the state has also increased rapidly, which has increased the trouble of the people. In view of the possible flood, the government has asked the officials to keep an eye on the situation 24 hours a day. Officials have been instructed to be ready to deal with every problem that arises.
