Chief Minister Dhami’s instructions in view of increasing cold in Uttarakhand

Dehradun, 07 December (HS). In view of the increasing cold and rain in the state, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has issued necessary guidelines to all the District Magistrates. He has directed that adequate facilities should be ensured in night shelters in all the districts and blankets, quilts etc. should be distributed to the needy people.

In view of the warning of rain and cold in the state by the Meteorological Department, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has instructed all the District Magistrates to make adequate arrangements to protect against cold at the tehsil level.

He said that along with starting night shelters as per the need, homeless people should be shifted to the night shelters, especially children, women and sick people should be provided immediate night shelter facilities.

The Chief Minister said that blankets and quilts should also be distributed, apart from this, bonfires should also be arranged at important places. In view of the possibility of drop in temperature in lower areas also due to snowfall in high altitude areas, the district administration should take all possible precautions and provide all kinds of facilities to the needy people.
