Dehradun, August 24 (HS). Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami honored 108 meritorious students who passed the 10th and 12th examinations from across the state in the 'Meritorious Student Honor' ceremony organized at the Directorate of Education on Saturday.

The Chief Minister said that all the meritorious students are the captains of the future, who will go to different fields in the coming time and give their best services. He said that the future of the country is in the hands of these youth. The meritorious students have also made their families, school, teachers and the government proud with their talent. The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the National Education Policy-2020 has been implemented in the state to set new records in the field of education. Higher education will get new dimensions under the National Education Policy. Youth will be made efficient through skill development. Children will also get help in achieving success in competitive examinations along with employment-oriented education. Research will also be encouraged and scientific thinking will develop. The Chief Minister announced that the state government will provide two gas cylinders and a stove for the food prepared under the Mid-Day Meal Scheme in 2871 schools of the state. It will cost about two crore 15 lakhs.

On this occasion, Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that the state government is continuously working to provide the best possible education to the students. The state government has made a provision to give scholarships to the students who perform best in classes 6th to 12th. Provision has also been made to give free notebooks along with books and clothes to the children. From the next session, two top students from each block will be taken for Bharat Darshan. The Education Minister said that there will be no shortage of teachers in any school of the state. The work of giving appointment letters to 3000 teachers is in progress. 1500 LT teachers will be given appointments in the coming months. He said that the state government is continuously solving the problems faced in schools and colleges. E-learning, digital and smart classes will be created in schools. Approval has been given for this. Director General of Education Banshidhar Tiwari was also present during this time.
