Champawat, November 01 (HS). Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami celebrated Diwali with the soldiers deployed on the India-Nepal border and saluted their spirit. In a program organized in Banbasa on Friday, Diwali was congratulated to the brave soldiers and ex-servicemen and tribute was paid to the brave martyrs.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that soldiers stay away from home and are deployed for the security of the country. In such a situation, it is a privilege to celebrate Diwali among them. He also met SSB and CISF soldiers and ex-servicemen. The Chief Minister said that staying away from home and family on festival days is the height of devotion to duty. If people across the country are celebrating Diwali and they are definitely safe, it is because of our soldiers, who are deployed 24 hours on the borders of the country. Brave soldiers are risking their lives on the borders of the country and performing their duties very well. It is because of these soldiers that we are able to breathe a sigh of relief in the country. Despite being away from his family on Diwali festival, there is no lack in his enthusiasm. I feel immense pleasure in being among the soldiers. Seeing the enthusiasm of all of you, new energy is flowing inside me too. He said that this time's Diwali is very special. This is the first time after years that Lord Shri Ram is sitting in his palace, it is a matter of pride for everyone.
Chief Minister Dhami said that a provision has been made to increase the amount of Rs 10 lakh to the families of the martyred soldiers of Uttarakhand to Rs 50 lakh. He said that India is becoming self-reliant under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
