Dehradun, 15 October (HS). Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted a surprise inspection of the Divisional Transport Office, Haldwani on Tuesday. During this, the Chief Minister expressed his displeasure over the files lying here and there in the office and gave instructions to keep the files in an organized manner and in digital mode. The Chief Minister also directed the Kumaon Commissioner to submit a report regarding the RTO office.
During this, the Chief Minister visited various counters of the office and collected various information and also inspected the entire office. The Chief Minister instructed the officers to come to the office on time and leave the office at the appointed time. He said that as per the standards, keeping in view the convenience of the common people, works related to the public on simplification, solution and disposal should be done on priority.
The Chief Minister said that the common people should not be unnecessarily delayed in the work related to the transport office. E-filing and e-records should also be promoted in offices. He said that India is moving towards developed India, digital India. The transport department should also work under the digital system and provide facilities to the public in the shortest possible time.
The Chief Minister said that the Transport Office is directly connected with the public. In such a situation, the responsibilities of the employees working in the office increase further. He also instructed all the employees to work with complete transparency.
He said that we have to serve the public in every form. During this, he went to various counters and took information from the counter assistants about the work done by them related to registration, enforcement etc. He instructed the Commissioner and District Magistrate to inspect the office from time to time. During this, officials including various public representatives were present.
