Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma visited Britain's Parliament

After successful exposure to investors in Germany, Europe's largest economy, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari and other members of the high-level delegation of the Government of Rajasthan today met with Ms. Katherine West, Minister (Indo-Pacific Region), Government of Britain. of. Apart from this, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma along with members of the delegation visited the UK Parliament located at the Palace of Westminster in London and held a meeting with select MPs of Indian origin. During these meetings, the Chief Minister appealed for cooperation from the UK Government for investment by UK companies in Rajasthan and invited them to participate in the 'Rising Rajasthan' Global Investment Summit 2024 to be held in Jaipur on 9-10-11 December. .

Subsequently, the delegation led by Chief Minister Sharma met UK-based firms from the information and communication technology (ICT), diamond manufacturing, and automobile sectors and invited them to invest in the state. These meetings included Element Six (a De Beers Group company that deals in synthetic diamonds, processing tools, etc.), Cyannode (a world leader in developing narrowband RF mesh networks), JCB (a manufacturer of construction and industrial vehicles and which has a manufacturing unit in Rajasthan) and top executives of Triumph Motorcycles (UK's largest motorcycle manufacturer).

Besides this, the delegation also met with the officials of Wanderlust (a leading travel magazine and website from England) and invited them to promote Rajasthan as a major tourist destination. During the meeting, the state's rich cultural heritage, vibrant landscape and various steps being taken by the state government to inspire global travelers were also discussed.

After these meetings, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said, “India and Britain have centuries-old relations. We had very useful and wide-ranging talks today with UK Government officials and MPs and during this, appealed to them to cooperate in our efforts to bring investment to the state. Apart from this, we discussed with many companies there for setting up business in the state and making new investments and urged them to take advantage of the business opportunities present within Rajasthan.”
