Jaipur, 6 April (HS). On the occasion of the 45th foundation day of BJP, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma inaugurated and visited the exhibition organized at the BJP state headquarters on the journey of Jan Sangh from becoming the world's largest political party. State co-in-charge of BJP Vijaya Rahatkar hoisted the flag.
Addressing the program organized on the occasion of Foundation Day, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said that after getting independence, Mahatma Gandhi had said that now Congress has no purpose and it should be abolished. After the formation of the interim government, two ideologies emerged in the country; one ideology was dedicated to selflessly serving the nation and Mother India. On the other hand, there were some selfish people in the other ideology, who always kept their interests ahead of the country. On 21 October 1951, nationalists like Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Pandit Deendayal laid the foundation of Jan Sangh and moved forward with a motto. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee's vision regarding Kashmir was clear, he had said that two constitutions and two heads cannot run in this country. Following the ideology of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi fulfilled his resolve by removing Article 370 from Kashmir.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma while calling upon the youth said that you people remember the Emergency of 1975 when journalists, youth and workers were put in jail. During that period, every class was unhappy with the atrocities of the Congress; people doing politics of only one family attacked the values of the nation. In such a situation, BJP was established within the country on 06 April 1980, and it is a political party whose workers work 365 days a year, 30 days a month and 24 hours a day. Due to the hard work of all these workers, BJP has today become the largest political party in the country and the world. BJP works on the policy of Panchkalyan in the national interest. Therefore, I want to say that any nation becomes strong only when its citizens have a feeling of love and dedication towards the nation.
Senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Ghanshyam Tiwari, while addressing the program, said that I have been a witness to the formation of BJP on 06 April 1980 when Jan Sangh merged with Janata Party in Ferozshah Kotla, Delhi. Bharat Ratan Former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee became emotional remembering Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Pandit Deendayal during his speech. I also participated in the first convention of BJP in Bandra, Mumbai from 29th December to 31st December. More than 60 thousand BJP workers were present in this convention. The country's famous lawyer and judge MC Chagla had said at that time that Atal Bihari Vajpayee would be the alternative to Congress. During the period of struggle, Atal ji had given the slogan that “Darkness will disperse, lotus will bloom” and BJP, which started with two MPs and moved ahead, is today the largest party in the world.
BJP state co-incharge Vijaya Rahatkar, while addressing the program, said that the journey started by Shyama Prasad Mukherjee and Pandit Deendayal has today reached the world's largest political party. Our journey is from 02 to 303 which is going to cross 370 in 2024, and this is not a small event. The main characteristics of the BJP organization are four “K's” which include workers, offices, funds and programmes. Our policy is of good governance, eternal and cultural nationalism. We are moving towards making a self-reliant India with great enthusiasm. PM Modi has given the slogan of upliftment of four castes of the country in which our aim is to provide welfare to the poor, youth, women and farmers.
