Bhopal, 19 April (HS). Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan on Friday continuously monitored the voting in all the six Lok Sabha parliamentary constituencies in the first phase of Madhya Pradesh Lok Sabha Elections-2024 and other arrangements from the Election Control Room. As per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, arrangements were made for monitoring sensitive polling stations through webcasting and CCTV. Voting was conducted in a total of 13 thousand 588 polling stations in six Lok Sabha parliamentary constituencies, Sidhi, Shahdol, Jabalpur, Mandla, Balaghat and Chhindwara. All activities taking place at more than 8 thousand polling stations were broadcast live through webcasting and special monitoring was done through CCTV cameras.
Rajan included live monitoring of the voting process from the election control room, live tracking of GPS fitted vehicles of sector officers, live updates of sector officers including the voting process being conducted by the polling parties, location tracking of FST and SST and monitoring of other arrangements. Also observed.
It is noteworthy that GPS devices have also been installed in the vehicles of polling parties and sector magistrates who transport electronic voting machines to polling stations in the Lok Sabha elections 2024. This work is being continuously monitored from the office of the Chief Electoral Officer.
