Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce did not support Bharat Bandh | News India

Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries state president Amar Parwani, general secretary Ajay Bhasin, treasurer Uttam Golchha, executive president Rajendra Jaggi, Vikram Singhdev, Ram Mandhan, Manmohan Agarwal said that Chhattisgarhiya Sarva Samaj Mahasangh Chhattisgarh and Sarva Samaj officials arrived at Chamber Bhawan, Bombay Market, Raipur today to seek support from Chhattisgarh Chamber of Commerce and Industries for the call of “Bharat Bandh” in protest against the reservation classification order issued by the Supreme Court.

Chamber's state president Amar Parwani said that in the meeting, there was an in-depth discussion between the office bearers of the Chamber and the office bearers of all the communities. Since the topic was about “Bharat Bandh”, the topic of “Bharat Bandh” was discussed with the national organizations affiliated to the Chamber, in which the national organizations expressed ignorance about Bharat Bandh and did not support it. Since the Chamber is associated with the small traders, hawkers and business organizations of the state who do business of fruits, vegetables, milk and other raw materials. They have to bear financial losses due to sudden shutdown without prior notice. As per the Chamber's tradition, we are unable to support 'Bharat Bandh' in a short time without prior notice or a meeting of trade unions.
