Raipur:The budget session of Chhattisgarh Assembly has ended on Wednesday. According to the schedule of the session, the proceedings of the House were to continue till March 2, but three days earlier the session ended indefinitely. This time the proceedings continued for 17 days in the budget session. The budget session started on 5 February, the budget for the financial year 2024-25 was presented on 9 February.
On the occasion of the conclusion of the budget session of Chhattisgarh Assembly, Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that this is Amrit Kaal, in this Amrit Kaal our country and our state will reach new heights of development. Our government is fulfilling the guarantee given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the citizens of Chhattisgarh with commitment. Our government is committed to fulfill each of their guarantees in the next 5 years.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister expressed his gratitude to Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Leader of Opposition Dr. Charandas Mahant, Ministers and all the MLAs of the opposition for the successful conduct of the budget session. He said that the Speaker of the Assembly discharged his responsibilities despite his health not being well. Under his guidance this session was conducted successfully. He thanked the Leader of Opposition for the cooperation given in the running of the House. Thanking Parliamentary Affairs Minister Brijmohan Aggarwal, he said that he gave a new dimension to the session with his experiences.
Chief Minister Sai said that all the cabinet colleagues brought welfare schemes for the common citizens through their respective departments. In the conduct of the session, the officers and employees of all the departments including the officers and employees of the Legislative Assembly performed their responsibilities with diligence. The security personnel performed their duty well. He expressed his gratitude to the media representatives for promptly conveying the decisions taken by the government to the citizens in the Assembly.
Sai said that we have resolved to establish good governance in Chhattisgarh, we have also started work in this direction. The special thing about this session was that many times it seemed that the responsibility of playing the role of opposition had fallen on the ruling party itself. The performance of the MLAs who were elected to the House for the first time was also very excellent, I congratulate all of them. Our government will develop the state following the policy of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas. Our government will ensure that the benefits of the schemes of Chhattisgarh Government and Government of India reach the last person of the society and we achieve the goal of Antyodaya. Tribal forest dwellers, farmers, youth and women will be ensured access to their rights.
