Chhatarpur, 17 May (HS). On the night of last May 4, the house of a person named Kamlesh Patel was stolen in village Basrahi of Goyra police station under Lavkushnagar police sub-division. Information in this regard was given at Goyra police station on May 5. Police had registered a case under sections 457 and 380 of IPC but the theft has not been revealed yet. The victim has given a memorandum to the Superintendent of Police demanding disclosure of the theft.
Kamlesh, son of Jageshwar Patel, resident of Basrahi, told in his application to the SP that on May 4, he was sleeping at his house, his wife is ill. His house was burgled in the night. According to Kamlesh, around Rs 18 lakh including gold, silver jewelery and cash was stolen. The thieves took away the boxes kept in the house and took out the items from them leisurely in the fields. When the family woke up in the morning, they saw that the locks of the house were broken, the locks of the room where the jewelery was kept were broken and the boxes were lying in the fields outside the village. According to the victim, Shivnath Patel from the same village had entered his house. The police have interrogated the suspect but have not reached any conclusion yet. Goyra police station in-charge Deepak Yadav said that the FIR of theft was registered on the same day, investigation is still going on.
