Chhatarpur: Strict action will be taken against elements hindering free voting

Chhatarpur, March 16 (HS). Extensive security arrangements have been made in the district to conduct the Lok Sabha General Elections 2024 in a free, peaceful and fair manner. Collector and District Election Officer Sandeep G.R. at the district headquarters on Saturday. And Superintendent of Police Agam Jain along with Central Arms Paramilitary Forces and Police Force took out a flag march on foot through the main roads of Chhatarpur city. Before the flag march, the forces were given information in the auditorium regarding the discharge of duties during the assembly elections. Also, in line with the vision of fair and hassle-free elections, the background of Chhatarpur district including its inter-state borders, critical polling stations was explained and it was asked to strictly follow the instructions of the Election Commission of India.

District Election Officer G.R. Said that voting is to be held in the district on 26th April. Voting should be free and peaceful. Voters should ensure to vote fearlessly without any fear, intimidation or pressure. For this, District Badar action has been taken against 51 habitual criminals in the district. Superintendent of Police Shri Jain said that there will be tight security arrangements in the district during the Lok Sabha general elections 2024. Forces and police forces should perform their election duties with full promptness. So that fear-free, pressure-free and fair voting is ensured in the district. Voters should vote fearlessly without any fear. ASP Vikram Singh, SP Aman Mishra and police officers from various police stations joined the force in the flag march. The flag march started from the auditorium, reached Gandhi Chowk via Jawahar Road, Bus Stand, Fubbara Chowk and ended at Chhatrasal Chowk from Mahal Road.

During the flag march, while interacting with the general public, the officers appealed to cooperate in maintaining peace during the elections, celebrate festivals peacefully and strictly follow the model code of conduct. He said that information about anyone disobeying orders and rules should be immediately informed to the police.
