Chhatarpur: Inter-state illegal arms smuggler caught, SP revealed

Chhatarpur, 3 May (Hindus). Superintendent of Police Agam Jain has directed all the police stations to take strict action against the criminals accused of possessing illegal weapons and after finding out the source of the illegal weapons. In the same sequence, the City Kotwali Police has arrested four accused including inter-state illegal arms smuggler along with pistol, country made pistol and live cartridges.

Superintendent of Police Agam Jain, while disclosing in the Police Control Room on Friday, said that the Kotwali police station had received information from an informer that Aziz Mohammad, near Housing Board Colony Sankat Mochan, has been buying illegal weapons and selling them in the area for a long time. On May 02, when police station in-charge Kotwali Inspector Arvind Kujur and the formed police team verified the information, the main accused Aziz Mohammad, father of Farooq Mohammad, aged 38 years, resident of Housing Board Colony, Sankat Mochan Road, Chhatarpur, was taken into custody and interrogated by him. Many persons in the city and rural areas were told to bring illegal weapons from Khargone and sell them. One 315 bore country-made pistol and one 315 bore live cartridge worth approximately Rs 41,00/- were seized from the possession of the main accused Aziz Mohammad and action was taken against the accused under 25/27 Arms Act and he was arrested. Main accused Aziz has already been registered for gambling crime in Civil Line police station, crime related to illegal weapons in Delhi and accused Neeraj has already been registered for crime in Garhi Malhara police station.

Similarly, Neeraj Kushwaha, son of Aman Kushwaha, aged 24 years, resident of village Badua of Gadhimalhara police station area, has been arrested with 315 bore pistol and cartridges from near Rajnagar Tigaila. The second accused, Ramkaran son of Ramprakash Basor, aged 21 years, resident of Tauriya Mohalla, was caught with a 25 bore pistol and live cartridges from near bus stand number 2 liquor shop. Similarly, Bhagchandra's son Santosh Kushwaha, aged 21 years, is a resident of Urdmau of Gadhimalhara police station area. The police arrested him with an illegal 25 bore pistol with live cartridges from a street near the Gurudwara. All the arrested accused are being presented in the court.

In the said proceedings, Arvind Kumar Kujur T.I. Kotwali Chhatarpur, Uni. Ramsia Chaudhary, Uni. Rahul Shukla, Uni. Christopher Toppo, SUNY. Dara Singh Head Constable-Rajesh Pathak, Rajesh Ahirwar, Ajay Gupta, Lakhan Lal, Rafiq Hasan, Pawan Kumar, Gorelal Singh, Constable-Umesh Agnihotri, Saurabh Tiwari, Ashish Khare, Rajeev Singh, B.D. Yadav, Ajay Mishra, Rajbahadur Kushwaha, Rajkumar Rajput, Bhagchandra Ahirwar Satendra Singh Tomar, Birendra Singh, Kapinder Singh and Head Constable Driver Ashok have played important roles.
