Srinagar, August 18 (HS). The saffron-robed Lord Shiva's holy stick 'Chhadi Mubarak' will be taken to the Amarnath cave temple on Monday for traditional worship and rituals.
Mahant Dipendra Giri, the custodian of the holy stick, said that after staying for one night, Chhari Mubarak left for Panchtarni Camp on the occasion of Shravan Shukla Paksha Chaturdashi from Sheshnag Camp on Sunday morning. He said that the holy stick crossed Mahaguns Top at an altitude of 14,800 feet with a group of sadhus. Mahaguns Top is the highest peak on the way to the holy temple of Swami Amarnath ji. The holy stick reached Panchtarni Camp in the afternoon. Chhari Mubarak will be taken to the holy cave on the occasion of Shravan Purnima on Monday morning and traditional worship and rituals will be performed amid Vedic chanting.
