Chennai, September 20 (HS). The second day of the first test match of the two-match test series being played between India and Bangladesh at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai has ended. The Indian team has scored 81 runs after losing three wickets in its second innings till the end of the game on Friday. Opener Shubman Gill is playing with 33 runs in 64 balls and wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant is playing with 12 runs in 13 balls.
The Indian team had scored 376 runs in its first innings. After this, Bangladesh's first innings was reduced to 149 runs. The Indian team got a lead of 227 runs. Now with the addition of 81 runs in the second innings, India's total lead has become 308 runs. In this way, the Indian team seems to be in a strong position in the match.
The Indian team did not have a good start in the second innings as well. Captain Rohit Sharma's bat did not work once again. Rohit returned to the pavilion after scoring just five runs. Earlier, Bangladesh's first innings was reduced to 149 runs. Bangladesh did not have a good start and on the score of just 40 runs, Shadman Islam 02 runs, Zakir Hasan 03 runs, captain Nazmul Hasan Shanto 20 runs, Mushfiqur Rahim 08 runs and Mominul returned to the pavilion without opening the account.
