In Bagora police station area of ​​Sanchore district, a minor girl, who had come to a medical shop to buy medicines, was coaxed by the shopkeeper and taken inside. Raped there and made an obscene video. Later he continued blackmailing and raping. In this case, the POCSO court of Jalore district on Tuesday sentenced the guilty shopkeeper to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000. The case was registered on 31 May 2024.

Special Public Prosecutor Ranjit Singh Rajpurohit said that the victim's brother had filed a rape case at Bagora police station on May 31, 2024. He told in the report – The accused, living in a village in the police station area, operates a medical shop. His sister had gone to his shop to buy medicines. The accused lured the sister and called her inside the shop. Raped her there and made a video. He raped her two-three times after threatening to post the video on social media. The sister stopped going to the accused's shop. On May 30, 2024, his parents had gone to another village for a relative's wedding. Sister was alone at home. Taking the opportunity, the accused entered the house. He tried to rape. When the sister protested, they beat her and tore her clothes. When the sister screamed loudly, the aunt living nearby came running and rescued the sister from the accused. The accused fled from the spot. When the parents returned, the sister narrated her ordeal.

The police presented the charge sheet in the court. On this, Special Judge of Jalore POCSO Court, Bhupendra Kumar Sanadhya, based on the statement of a total of 13 witnesses, on October 22, sentenced the accused to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000.
