Jaipur, 20 December (Hindustan Reporter). A chemical tanker exploded this morning near Pushpraj Petrol Pump located on Ajmer Road in Bhankrota police station area of Rajasthan capital Jaipur. This caused a massive fire. Four people died in this accident. The number of dead has not been officially confirmed. The condition of many burnt people is critical. Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has reached the hospital to see the injured.
The administrative staff is taking burnt people to the hospital. There is an atmosphere of chaos in the area. The sound of the explosion was heard far away. The fire was so terrible that many vehicles within a radius of three hundred meters got affected by it. Four people were burnt alive on the spot. There are reports of many drivers getting burnt. Senior officials of police and fire department are on the spot. Many fire brigade vehicles are busy extinguishing the fire.
Officials said that the LPG gas pipeline passing through the highway has been closed. This accident probably happened due to technical fault in the tanker. Police have surrounded the area and traffic on the highway has been stopped.
