Chandigarh: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a charge sheet in the murder case of Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Vikas Prabhakar alias Vikas Baga. The names of Babar Khalsa International chief Wadhwa Singh Babbar and 5 other terrorists are included in this charge sheet. Three of these have been arrested. In April the same year, Bagga was shot dead in the neck while he was sitting at his shop. NIA had registered a case in this matter on 9 May.
NIA investigation revealed that this incident was carried out by shooters Mandeep Singh, Surinder Kumar and Gurpreet Ram of Nawanshahr. All three have been arrested. Harjeet Singh, resident of Nawanshahr, and Kulbir Singh, resident of Yamunanagar, Haryana, were BKI terrorists who had provided weapons to Wadhwa Singh on his request to kill him.
NIA has considered 2 absconding and 2 arrested accused as the main culprits of this murder. The three arrested accused were identified as shooter Mandeep Singh alias Mangli, Surinder Kumar alias Rinka and Gurpreet Ram alias Gora, residents of Nawanshahr.
To carry out the murder, accused Dharmendra had purchased weapons from Madhya Pradesh. Foreign terrorist Harvinder Singh alias Sonu had supplied weapons to the killers. Meanwhile, the search for 2 accused BKI Harjeet alias Ladhi and Kulbir Singh alias Jeera is going on. There is a reward of Rs 10 lakh on both the accused.
