News India Live, Digital Desk: The Char Dham Yatra in Uttarakhand has seen a huge crowd, where more than 5.5 lakh devotees have visited Kedarnath in just 24 days, while the total registration for pilgrimage has exceeded 33 lakhs.

As the journey season is moving forward, the influx of pilgrims is increasing, especially Kedarnath Dham In, where the maximum number of tourists are coming.

Char Dham pilgrimage centers are seeing huge crowds daily

Increasing religious enthusiasm, the doors of Sikh pilgrimage site Shri Hemkund Sahib were opened at 10 am on May 25, in which thousands of devotees arrived on the holy occasion. On the very first day, more than 4,500 Sikh pilgrims took a bath in the holy snow lake and prayed to the Darbar Sahib. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Panch Pyaron, who led the Guru Granth Sahib from the true section, after which Sukhmani Sahib’s recitation, Shabad Kirtan and Ardas prayers were done.

Record breaking crowd in Char Dham Yatra

The Char Dham Yatra officially started with the opening of the doors of Gangotri and Yamunotri on 30 April. Since then, the number of devotees has been steadily increasing, so far more than 1.3 million pilgrims have visited the four dhams. The enthusiasm among the passengers is especially seen in Kedarnath, where the number of pilgrims has increased in the last few weeks.

Rudraprayag District Magistrate Saurabh Gaharwar has assured that travel arrangements for Kedarnath are running smoothly and the routes leading to Sonprayag, Gaurikund and temple are well ready for thousands of tourists.

Apart from Kedarnath, more than 3.7 lakh tourists have come to Badrinath, while Gangotri and Yamunotri have more than 2.4 lakh devotees. The month of May is about to end, officials hope that the number of pilgrims will increase even more.

Heavy demand for offline registration

Offline registration counters are seeing huge crowds for Char Dham Yatra, more than 2,000 pilgrims are reaching Rishikesh alone. Tourism industry businessmen are feeling optimistic, as they expect more pilgrims to come in the coming weeks.

The state has set up several offline registration centers

To make the registration smooth, the state government has set up several centers at Rishikesh, Haridwar, Vikasnagar, Herbertpur, Nayagaon and other places. Additional police forces have been deployed at registration counters to control the crowd and ensure the safety of pilgrims.

Pilgrims come from all over India

Devotees from Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Jharkhand and Madhya Pradesh have gathered in Uttarakhand, government officials have ensured proper facilities and security measures for the passengers. With a rapid increase in the number of pilgrims, Uttarakhand is expected to create new records of spiritual tourism, which will further strengthen its position as a sacred travel site.
