Chardham Yatra: Action will be taken against those who make wrong reels and consume intoxicants in Kedarnath Dham


Rudraprayag, 11 May (HS). The police will keep a close watch on those who spoil the sanctity of the world famous Baba Kedarnath Dham located in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand. Strict action will be taken by the police against those who consume drugs and create ruckus in the Dham. Strict action will also be taken against those making wrong reels in the Dham premises and those offering darshan by taking money.

The doors of Baba Kedarnath Dham were opened for the common devotees on Saturday. In order to ensure a well-organized yatra, the police-administration team is present at Kedarnath Dham to provide all necessary facilities and security arrangements to the devotees reaching the Dham. Superintendent of Police Dr. Vishakha Ashok Bhadane said that for the convenience of the devotees reaching the Dham, necessary guidelines have been given to the police team deployed here. Apart from this, information about walking routes and other basic needs is being shared as per the requirement of the devotees coming for darshan. Appealing to the devotees reaching Kedarnath Dham, he said that special care should be taken of the dignity of the Dham. The police is ready to provide all possible help to the devotees.

The Superintendent of Police said that to reach the Dham, contact the authorized platform only for heli service. Be alert to avoid any kind of fraud. Return with a pleasant travel experience. He said that if someone demands money for early darshan of Kedarnath Dham, then a complaint should be lodged immediately. Action will be taken against such people at the police level. Operation Maryada campaign was conducted in Kedarpuri under the leadership of Superintendent of Police. During this, action was taken to identify and arrest people consuming drugs etc. in the Dham premises.
