Dehradun, August 14 (HS). ITDA Director Nitika Khandelwal presented the “Chardham Dashboard” to the Governor at Raj Bhavan on Wednesday. During this, the Governor said that this dashboard will help decision-makers in effective management and operation of the Yatra.
A dashboard has been prepared by ITDA for smooth and effective management of the Chardham Yatra.
Earlier, Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Retd.) had directed Director ITDA to prepare Chardham Dashboard to digitally monitor the entire Yatra. In compliance with the above, Real Time Monitoring Chardham Dashboard has been prepared by him. The Director was informed about the updated progress till date from the presentation given earlier to the Governor regarding this dashboard.
The Governor congratulated and appreciated the ITDA Director and his entire team for preparing this dashboard. He said that the way travel related departments have been integrated in it through technology and digitalization will make it easier to plan for better travel operations in future and will also provide convenience to the passengers. This dashboard will help decision-makers in effective management and operation of travel.
The Governor said that it is commendable that ITDA is motivating various departments to work through the dashboard being prepared for them. This will increase the sense of accountability and efficiency of the departments. We have to start a new work culture using technology which is also the demand of the present time. He said that effective coordination will be established between the departments through dashboard culture and the tendency of working in isolation will end. This dashboard has been created to establish mutual coordination between various departments and to strengthen various aspects related to successful operation of Chardham Yatra in the state such as registration of pilgrims, screening, condition of the travel route, better facilities of residential and basic necessities, providing health services to the pilgrims on time.
It is noteworthy that CM Dashboard, Disaster Management Dashboard and Chardham Dashboard are being prepared by ITDA.
