Char Dham Yatra on Akshaya Tritiya: According to Hindu religion, Char Dham is very important and this year 10th May Akshaya Tritiya day is a very important and significant day. Therefore it is very good to visit Char Dham on that day.

Visit to four holy places of Himalayas namely Char Dham, Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath. In Hindi 'Char' means four and 'Dham' means religious place.

These religious places remain closed for about six months every year and open during summer (April or May) and close with the onset of winter (October or November). It is believed that the Aar Dham Yatra should be completed in a clockwise direction. The yatra starts from Yamunotri, moves towards Gangotri, goes to Kedarnath and finally ends at Badrinath. Some devotees undertake Do Dham Yatra to the two Dhams of Kedarnath and Badrinath.

According to Hindu mythology, if a person visits Chardham once in his lifetime, he is freed from all his past sins and attains salvation after death. This strong belief inspires thousands of pilgrims from all over the world to visit Chardham.

For this reason thousands of people consider Akshaya Tritiya as a very important day or important day, visiting Char Dham on that day brings more auspiciousness.
