Rudraprayag, 17 May (HS). A large number of pilgrims from other states including Uttarakhand are coming to visit Chardham Yatra. In such a situation, in order to ensure systematic darshan of the pilgrims by the state government and keeping in view the convenience of the devotees, videography for social media has been completely banned in the periphery of the temple premises in all the four Dhams.
Additional District Magistrate Shyam Singh Rana said that proper arrangements have been made by the state government to provide darshan to the pilgrims in an organized manner, but at present it has been noticed that some persons are using videography and social media in the temple premises. Reels are being made. Due to this, unnecessary inconvenience is being created to the devotees due to crowd gathering at one place in the temple premises to watch the said videography.
He said that for the convenience of the devotees, videography and making of reels for social media has been completely banned within the 50 meter radius of Shri Kedarnath Dham temple complex along with other Dhams. He has appealed to the Chief Executive Officer of Badri-Kedar Temple Committee to ensure strict compliance with the guidelines issued by the government with immediate effect.
