Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) general secretary spokesperson Supriyo Bhattacharya has strongly targeted the Election Commission and BJP for changing the dates of assembly elections in Haryana. He said that Haryana BJP state president Mohanlal Badoli had also written a letter to the commission to change the date. In Haryana, where the elections were earlier scheduled to be held on October 1, now voting will be held on October 5.
Supriyo said that the Chief Election Commissioner is a character of a laughter channel, because of his arguments. He said that the Election Commission said that it will give a level playing ground. He said that the dates of elections in Haryana were fixed at the behest of the BJP, which now had to be changed. Bhattacharya was speaking at a press conference at the party office in Harmu on Sunday.
Supriyo said that the determination of the dates of elections in Haryana and then its change raises questions on the impartiality and seriousness of the Election Commission. He said that the Election Commission works as per the dictation of the BJP. The same attitude of the Commission is seen during all three elections. Be it Lok Sabha elections, Rajya Sabha elections or Assembly elections. He also alleged that the BJP wants to influence and corrupt the elections with its wrong intentions.
