Chandipura Virus Alert- These days a disease has become a matter of concern in India. There has been an outbreak of Chandipura virus in the Aravalli district of Gujarat for some time now. This disease has become a matter of concern because till now 6 deaths have occurred in the district due to it.
After Gujarat, Chandipura virus has now reached Rajasthan. These symptoms were found in 2 children of the tribal area of Udaipur. One of the children died during treatment at the civil hospital of Himmatnagar in Gujarat.
Another 4-year-old innocent child is affected by this virus. However, his condition is out of danger. According to experts, this virus directly attacks the brain. First the symptoms of flu appear and then the child goes into coma. After two cases were reported, the medical department team went to their village and took samples of other children.
Samples of family members have also been sent to the lab.
Apart from this, samples of family members are also being sent to the Pune lab. Quoting the health department, media reports have said that Chandipura virus spread in the year 1965 in Chandipura village of Maharashtra. From there it got its name Chandipura virus. This virus spreads through mosquitoes and flies during the rainy season. After these two cases came to light, the medical department has started taking precautions in the border areas adjoining Gujarat.
Let us tell you that on 27 June, an innocent child of Balicha village near Nayakhand, a tribal area of Udaipur, died. However, it was not taken seriously then. When some children died in Gujarat, symptoms of Chandipura virus were found in them.
After this, when another child died in Udaipur, it was found that he also had symptoms of Chandipura. The constantly increasing number of deaths due to Chandipura virus has created panic in the tribal area.
How dangerous is this virus?
Some studies suggest that a person infected with this virus may develop symptoms quickly. It can cause neurological problems and potentially fatal autoimmune encephalitis within the first 24 hours of onset. Severe cases of this disease have seen mortality rates ranging from 56% to 75%.
Symptoms of Chandipura Virus
Chandipura virus disease often begins with high fever. Apart from this, the victim also experiences symptoms like seizures, diarrhea and vomiting after the fever. In such a situation, if there is less awareness about it, it can cause death.

There is no specific treatment for this dangerous virus, but if the disease is detected in time, then along with hospitalization, proper treatment can be done to get relief from other symptoms.
