Chandigarh Professor: The girl students of DAV College located in Sector-10, Chandigarh have accused the Associate Professor of demanding physical relations. The girl students allege that the professor keeps sending messages till late night and demands sexual harassment. Not only this, he also sent a message to meet alone at night.

The professor sent messages to the students through Telegram and Snapchat. The accused students are associated with the National Service Scheme (NSS). The accused professor is the programming officer of NSS. The students have given a written complaint against the professor to the college management. The complaint states that 5 girl students were molested. The complaint also includes screenshots of the chat done by the accused professor.

Students brought 3 charges

1. Called to meet alone at night

In December 2023, the accused professor asked the NSS student on WhatsApp late at night if she used Snapchat and Telegram. After giving the ID, the professor started chatting. The professor said- If you want to lead the NSS team as a panel member, meet in person. Similarly, a message was sent to a girl demanding sexual intercourse. When a student did not respond to the message at night, he started misbehaving with her in the morning.

2. Send a request on Snapchat at night

The accused professor takes the numbers of girls from the NSS group and sends requests on Snapchat late at night. If the students do not respond, they will be removed from NSS saying that he is a program officer. This year also, some girl students were expelled from the special camp of NSS from 13 to 19 March.

3. The professor used to delete the chat

There are other students like this, but they did not complain due to fear. The professor is very smart. He deletes the chat. The students said that there are four NSS units in the college, but since he joined NSS, no other programming officer has been added. He takes all the decisions himself.
