Weather of Punjab and Chandigarh: The cold in the morning and evening has increased in Punjab and Chandigarh. Along with this, the maximum temperature of the day has also declined. The average maximum temperature has dropped by 0.1 degrees in 24 hours. The highest temperature was recorded at 36.6 degrees in Bathinda. Today there is a possibility of rain at some places in three districts Pathankot, Gurdaspur and Amritsar. On the other hand, stubble burning is also not stopping.

Amritsar's AQI is 175, Bathinda's AQI 123, Jalandhar's AQI 137, Khanna's AQI 156, Ludhiana's AQI 138, Mandi Gobindgarh's AQI 179, Patiala's AQI 158 and Rupnagar's AQI 158. AQI is measured at three centers in Chandigarh. During this period, AQI level of Sector-22 has been recorded as 211, AQI level of Sector-25 has been recorded as 193, AQI level of Sector-53 has been recorded as 228.
Morning and evening walks should be avoided
AQI levels are worsening in the districts. An advisory has also been issued by the Health Department. The advisory states that due to the worsening of AQI in a few days, the severity of these symptoms is being seen in children and the elderly, especially those suffering from asthma and respiratory diseases. The influx of these patients in hospitals has increased. In such a situation, people should avoid walking in the morning and evening. Mask should be worn while leaving the house.
