Chanakya Niti Money Mistakes: Earn a lot but still remain empty handed? Do not make these 2 mistakes even by mistake after waking up in the morning, understand the real mathematics of poverty from Chanakya Niti.

In the modern era, a large population is facing this strange financial crisis that their income increases every year, but by the 20th of the month their bank balance reaches the verge of zero. Even after packages worth lakhs, continuous increments and hard work day and night, a person still finds himself at the same place in terms of savings and investments. People are often satisfied by calling it rising inflation, market glare or bad luck.

But India’s great economist, diplomat and strategist Acharya Chanakya had made it clear thousands of years ago in his book ‘Chanakya Niti’ that the arrival of wealth depends not only on your hard work, but also on your daily conduct, discipline and especially your morning lifestyle. According to Chanakya, some serious mistakes made in the first moments of waking up in the morning cause ‘Alakshmi’ i.e. poverty to reside in the house, due to which the money earned gets washed away like water in unwanted expenses, diseases and courts.

According to a famous verse from Chanakya Niti, the goddess of wealth Lakshmi never stays with the person who remains in bed for a long time even after sunrise:

“Kuchailinam dantamlopdhaarinam bahvashinam nisturbhashinam cha. Suryodaye Chaastamite Shayanam Vimunchati Shriryadi Chakrapanih.”

  • Laziness and wastage of time: Chanakya says that the person who wears dirty clothes, does not keep his teeth clean, eats more than required, speaks bitter words and sleeps at sunrise, the goddess of wealth abandons him even though he is the form of Lord Vishnu.

  • Loss of positive energy: Morning Brahma Muhurta (time before sunrise) is the best time for mental clarity, new energy and strategic planning for the day. A person who wakes up late starts his day feeling rushed and stressed, which blunts his decision-making abilities. When work decisions are wrong, financial losses in business and career are certain.

As soon as you open your eyes in the morning, the atmosphere in your house decides whether there will be prosperity or poverty in your house.

  • Bitterness and discord of speech: According to Acharya Chanakya, peace and prosperity immediately flees from a house where there is shouting, abuse and quarrels with husband-wife, family members or subordinates (employees) early in the morning. Anger and bitter words destroy a person’s conscience, due to which he takes wrong decisions in business or financial transactions.

  • Dirt and scattered bedding: Leaving one’s bed in disarray as soon as one wakes up, not sweeping the main door of the house or keeping the utensils left in the sink till the morning are considered symbols of extreme poverty in both Vaastu and Chanakya Shastra. Even the money earned without cleanliness and order is wasted in drugs and disputes.

Chanakya does not just speak from a spiritual perspective, but his Arthashastra offers the most accurate model of practical financial management (Financial Literacy):

  • Showiness more than inwardness is the root of downfall: Chanakya says that a person who spends only for false prestige and luxury in the society without knowing his income, soon becomes poor. If you earn ₹1,00,000 and rack up EMIs and credit card bills of ₹1,10,000 in the name of upgrading your lifestyle, no amount of salary hike can take away your poverty.

  • Theory of Pond and Water: Chanakya has compared accumulation of wealth with the water of a pond. The water of the pond remains fresh and useful only when new water keeps coming into it and excess water keeps coming out through drainage. Invest your money in the right place and stop the leakage of wasteful expenditure immediately.

If you want to see blessings in your hard-earned money and continuous growth in your bank account, make these rules your morning routine:

  • Awakening and meditation before sunrise: Get up in the morning at least 45 minutes before sunrise. Start the day by looking at the palms of both your hands and make daily prioritization of the day’s tasks.

  • Resolution of calm and sweet speech: The first thing you wake up in the morning is to take the blessings of your parents, keep the atmosphere of the house calm and stay away from any kind of heated debate or negativity on social media for the first 2 hours of the day.

  • Account of daily income and expenditure: According to Chanakya, only that person becomes rich who keeps an eye on his money flow 24 hours. Make a habit of reviewing your financial goals, budget and investment status in the morning.
