Ranchi, June 13 (HS). The exercise to implement the Panchayat Provisions on Scheduled Areas Extension Act (PESA) in the state has intensified under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Champai Soren. Chief Minister Soren expressed the government's commitment to implement this PESA law.

On Thursday, in front of Chief Minister Soren, officials of the Panchayati Raj Department made a presentation on the introduction and road map of PESA Act through a power point presentation in the Jharkhand Secretariat. While reviewing its road map, the Chief Minister also gave many important guidelines to the officials. During the review, many important points were discussed in detail between the Chief Minister and the officials so that PESA Act can be implemented in the state at the earliest. On the occasion, the Chief Minister told the officials that implementing a better PESA rule in Jharkhand is our priority. He said that it is the moral responsibility of all of us.

Minister Deepak Birua, Chief Secretary L Khiangte, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Avinash Kumar, Principal Secretary of Panchayati Raj Department Vinay Kumar Choubey, Secretary to the Chief Minister Arwa Rajkamal, Secretary of Scheduled Tribe, Scheduled Caste, Minority and Backward Class Welfare Department Kripananda Jha, Director Panchayati Raj Nisha Oraon and other officials were present in the meeting.
