Korba/Janjgir-Champa, July 18 (HS). Chhattisgarh has been awarded five national awards under Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana and National Urban Livelihood Mission. Among these, Nagar Palika Parishad Champa has been awarded the second prize in the category of best urban bodies with a population of up to 50 thousand.
On receiving the Spark Award, Collector Akash Chikkara congratulated and wished the officers and employees of the Municipal Corporation. He said that it is a matter of pride for the district that the name of Champa Urban Body has been selected for the Spark-2023-24 Award.
It is noteworthy that this award has been given for the best work in empowering urban poor families and increasing their livelihood opportunities. Assistant Collector Durga Prasad Adhikari and Municipal Corporation CMO Bhola Singh Thakur from the district received this Spark Award at the National Award Ceremony held in Delhi.
