The central government has launched a new platform to protect Indian citizens from cyber fraud. The central government launched the Chakshu platform on Monday. If any kind of cyber fraud happens to you, you can lodge a complaint on this platform within 30 days. This platform has been launched on the Sanchar Sathi website of the Government of India.
What is eye platform?
The Chakshu platform enables Indian citizens to report cyber crimes, money related frauds, calls made with malicious intent, messages sent through WhatsApp or harassing messages.
If money is withdrawn from your bank account, money goes missing from payment wallet, someone is stalking you, all this comes under cyber crime. In such a case, you can lodge a complaint on the Chakshu platform.
How to report cyber fraud
1. First of all go to Sanchar Saathi platform. For this click on this link https://sancharsathi.gov.in/.
2. Now go to the home page and click on Citizen Centric Services.
3. Now tap on the Report Suspected Fraud Communication option.
4. Now click on Continue for Reporting option.
5. Here you will get different options like Call, SMS, WhatsApp, select one of them.
6. Now select the category and upload the screenshot of the fraud that happened to you.
7. Later you will have to provide the time, date and details of the fraud that happened to you.
8. Now get your name, mobile number and OTP verified.
9. Write and submit your complaint now.
What action will the government take?
After filing the fraud complaint on Chakshu portal, police, banks and other investigating agencies will become active. Action will be initiated within a few hours of your complaint. The matter will be investigated thoroughly and the number from which you were cheated will be blocked.
