Jhansi, March 14 (HS). CGST team's action is going on continuously for the last 32 hours in the warehouses and offices of big iron traders of the metropolis. The team is busy scrutinizing all their business related forms. CGST raid on the warehouses of JS Steel and Meenakshi Steel, including Aggarwal Steel Corporation, has created panic among other traders. The team investigated their office, warehouse etc. and also interrogated the employees. However, no official information about this investigation and raid has come out. If sources are to be believed, the team had received complaints of tax evasion worth lakhs of rupees per day. After that a sudden raid was conducted.
It is noteworthy that on Wednesday afternoon suddenly a convoy of five vehicles of the CGST team that came from Lucknow along with the police team reached the warehouses and offices of three iron traders including Agarwal Steel Corporation located at Antia Talab. The team surrounded the warehouse and office and raided it and started GST related inquiries. The team also reached the warehouses and interrogated the employees and operators.
Started searching tax related forms. All the employees of the warehouse and office were gathered and their mobiles were taken and switched off. Those who were inside remained inside and those who were outside remained outside. There is a strict police guard outside the door. The raiding action of this team from Lucknow has created a stir.
