Two years after the central government's decision on firemen, on Thursday CISF and BSF announced to give 10 percent reservation to former firemen. Preparations have also been started for this. The rules will be implemented soon. CISF has started preparations for this and on the basis of this decision, CISF will soon implement this rule for recruitment. BSF has also started preparations for this.
In this regard, BSF DG Nitin Agarwal and CISF DG Neena Singh gave this information. Actually, on June 18, 2022, the Ministry of Home Affairs had issued a notification in this regard. It said that 10 percent reservation will be given to ex-servicemen in CAPF and Assam Rifles. BSF, CRPF, ITBP, SSB and CISF come under CAPF.
Regarding this matter, BSF DG Nitin Agarwal said that we are preparing soldiers, nothing can be better than this. With this, ex-servicemen will get 10% reservation in recruitment in all forces. CISF DG Neena Singh said that the Union Home Ministry has taken a big step to recruit former firemen in the Central Armed Police Forces. CISF has also made all the arrangements regarding this. 10 percent of constable posts will be reserved for ex-servicemen. Also, they will be exempted from physical efficiency test.
Let us tell you that the central government had announced this in the year 2022 itself. Even during that time, when the opposition to the Agniveer scheme increased, the Home Ministry had announced that Agniveers would be given priority in the appointment of paramilitary forces. They will be given 10 percent reservation. Apart from this, the Defense Ministry had also promised to give 10 percent reservation to firemen.
