Dharamshala, June 18 (HS). Himachal Pradesh Central University is going to organize International Yoga Day this time at Sai Athletic Ground, Dharamshala. Vice Chancellor Prof. Sat Prakash Bansal will participate in it as the chief guest. Students, teachers of Dehra, Shahpur and Dharamshala campuses of Central University, students of local schools and employees of government and non-government offices will be the participants. About 400 participants will participate in the International Yoga Day event. In this regard, Vice Chancellor Prof. Sat Prakash Bansal held a meeting with all the teachers of Yoga Study Center in the Vice Chancellor Secretariat on Tuesday and took information about the preparations. Registrar Prof. Suman Sharma was also present on this occasion.
On this occasion, the Director of Yoga Adhyayan Kendra, Dr. Sunil Kumar told the Vice Chancellor that keeping in mind the organization of International Yoga Day, for the last one month, the center has been fulfilling its social responsibility and has done the work of public awareness in the society through many yoga related activities. During this period, the students of Diploma, MA and PhD of Yoga Adhyayan Kendra introduced yoga practice to about two thousand school students and general public. The theme of this year's International Yoga Day is “Yoga for self and society”, keeping this motto in mind, the students of Yoga Adhyayan Kendra went to various places and gave training of yoga to the general public and got them to practice yoga to overcome their physical and mental problems. Practice sessions of yoga protocol were organized by the students under the guidance of the teachers of Yoga Adhyayan Kendra in Achievers Hub Senior Secondary Public School Dadi, Vedanta Public School Shyamnagar, Government Primary School Badol, Dhauladhar Public Senior Secondary Shyamnagar, Dayanand Public School Kachhari, Sai Sports Ground, Police Ground, Sakoh Village. The students of these schools will participate in this International Yoga Day event.
