Purnia, 29 July (HS). During the discussion on the budget session in Parliament, Purnia MP Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav demanded the establishment of a central university in Purnia through the House. Apart from this, he called IIT-IIM-AIIMS in Purnia-Kosi-Seemanchal as the need of the hour and said that this will not only lead to the development of Purnia, but it will also bring unexpected changes in this entire area and will remove the backwardness of the Kosi-Seemanchal area.

The MP said that there should have been a provision for food processing in Purnia in the budget, so that people could be given employment through the industry based on maize and makhana and migration could be reduced.

Pappu Yadav said that Bihar should get a special package. There should have been a provision in the budget to restart all the closed industries in Bihar, so that the continuous migration and poverty from Bihar can be removed. By setting up industries, local people will get employment and this will increase the production capacity in the area and the state government's revenue will also benefit. Apart from this, there is no insurance for the workers who are going out for work, it is also necessary to make arrangements for that. The MP raised many issues related to Bihar during the discussion in the budget session.
