Mumbai: 831 missing children were returned to their families through RPF’s Nanhe Farishte operation during April-October this year in Central Railway.
RPF often finds stray children at Mumbai Terminus or other railway stations. Most of these children come from rural areas, attracted by the allure of Mumbai or run away due to reasons such as domestic disputes. A total of 861 children were rescued and safely returned to their families by Central Railway RPF in the seven months between April to October. These children include 589 boys and 272 girls. RPF provides counseling to the found children to understand their problems and prepare them to return to their parents.
