Under the Sub Mission on Agriculture Extension (ATMA) scheme, the district level farmers fair was organized on Thursday at the Divisional Agricultural Testing and Demonstration Center Bilgram Chungi. Chief guest MP Jai Prakash Rawat, in his address, expressed gratitude to the farmer brothers for their contribution to the country's economy and prosperity.
The MP said that many schemes are being run by the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister to double the income of farmers. He said that the minimum support price of various crops has been fixed by our government. Many schemes are being run in the Agriculture Department to increase the income of farmers. Farmer brothers must grow grain millets (jowar, bajra, kodo, ragi, sawan etc.). There is less need for irrigation and fertilizers in its cultivation.
The MP praised the Agriculture Department for organizing the Kisan Mela in the interest of farmers. On this occasion, under the Insitu scheme, the key of the tractor was also distributed to Kamalakant's son Shri Ramkhelavan resident of village Jairajpur development block Tadiawan. Free minikits of mustard/mustard seeds were distributed to farmers Jashoda, Ramsagar, Ramchandra, Jeevan, Rambabu, Rahish, Naresh Kumar, Nathu Lal, Anil Kumar, and Mr. Akash.
Madhavendra Pratap Singh (RANU) MLA, Sawaijpur, while appreciating the program, said that people who come to such events should do their farming only with the advanced agricultural techniques suggested by the scientists. Also tell people around you about advanced agricultural technology. Many schemes are being run by the Prime Minister and Chief Minister to double the income of farmers. Farmer brothers can contact the departments and get information about the schemes and avail their benefits. Get more income by reducing the cost of your farming by taking advantage of the agricultural equipment and solar pumps being distributed on subsidy by the Agriculture Department.
BJP District President Ajit Singh Babban told the farmers that the farmers are getting the benefits of the schemes being run by the government for the benefit of the farmers and to increase their income in a completely transparent manner.
Dr. Nand Kishore Deputy Director of Agriculture, Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme, Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, free minikit seed distribution, solar pump scheme, scheme of agricultural equipment distributed on subsidy for crop residue management, Kisan Credit Card Scheme, improvement of oilseeds/pulses crops. Gave information about varieties, advanced farming techniques and latest research. He told the farmer brothers that they should sow their crops in line and do the first irrigation of the crop after 21 days. He appealed to the farmer brothers that under the 'Give Stubble, Take Manure' scheme, they should not burn crop residue (straw) in their fields and should get cow dung fertilizer by donating the stubble to their nearest cowsheds.
Dr. Triloki Nath Rai, scientist KVK Sandila, while discussing about soil health with the farmer brothers, advised them to do soil testing. Dr. D.B. Singh, Scientist at Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Hardoi, discussed with the farmer brothers about the pest and disease control related to crops and coarse grain crops.
During this, the god magician and the puppet operator inspired the farmers to test the soil, use fertilizer in balanced quantity, not to burn crop residue and to sow in line. Drone was also demonstrated for spraying nano urea.
The program was first inaugurated by lighting the lamp by chief guest MP Jaiprakash Rawat, special guest MLA Madhavendra Pratap Singh (Ranu) and District President Ajit Singh Babban. In the program, the stalls set up by various departments were inspected with the public representatives, officials and farmers and a publicity vehicle was flagged off to spread awareness among the farmers about not burning crop residue.
