Dehradun, July 14 (HS). During his Delhi visit, CDS General Anil Chauhan and the newly appointed Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi paid a courtesy visit to Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Retd.) at Uttarakhand Sadan.
On this occasion, the Governor said that the harmony and integration seen among our armed forces is unprecedented. The people of the state are proud of you for being the sons of the military land of Uttarakhand.
On this occasion, the Governor told General Chauhan that Uttarakhand is a military dominated state and someone from almost every family here is serving the country. At the same time, the number of ex-servicemen is also high here. Keeping this in mind, he requested the CDS to work towards solving the problems of ex-servicemen and increasing the facility of ECHS in remote areas. During this, the Governor also recalled the time spent together during military service in Jammu and Kashmir.
On this occasion, the Governor congratulated General Dwivedi for his new responsibility. He discussed with General Dwivedi the Agneepath scheme and schemes for the welfare of ex-servicemen. During this, the Governor also recalled the time of serving together in the army.
