CDO took stock of the damage caused in Yamunotri Dham

Uttarkashi, 02 August (HS). Chief Development Officer (CDO) Jai Kishan reached Yamunotri Dham on Friday and inspected the damaged assets of the temple committee. Before reaching Yamunotri Dham, he also inspected the parking lot damaged by the water level of Yamuna river at Janki Chatti. He gave necessary instructions to the concerned working agency regarding the work to be done in the parking lot. He also instructed to quickly assess the damage caused in Yamunotri Dham and complete the construction work in this direction at a fast pace.

While directing the officials related to the travel arrangements, he said that it is important to perform the work with caution for conducting the travel in a smooth and safe manner. He said that in case of any natural calamity, contact should be established with the disaster control room immediately. He presented before the Chief Development Officer the availability of women of self-help groups selling flowers, incense, local woodcraft, woolen clothes under livelihood at the travel halts and Yamunotri Dham. He expressed his commitment to make the livelihood activities more effective.
