CBSE Board Class 10th, 12th Exam 2024: The 10th and 12th examinations of CBSE Board i.e. Central Board of Secondary Education are starting from 15 February 2024 and for this the board has issued the admit cards. However, from this year onwards CBSE board students will get a chance to appear in the board exams twice. In fact, recently the Education Ministry had made a big announcement regarding board examinations that now board examinations will be conducted twice a year. This has been done due to changes in the education system as per the New Education Policy (NEP). According to this, from this year onwards students of class 10th and 12th of CBSE board will appear for the board exams twice a year. It is expected that for the first time the examination will be conducted in November-December 2024 and for the second time in February-March. However, no official information has been given by CBSE yet in this regard.
Last year, the Education Ministry had announced to conduct board examinations twice a year under the new curriculum framework (NCF). This framework is aimed at bringing changes in the examination system, de-humanizing board examinations and increasing the passing percentage of students. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had said that students will have the option to appear for class 10th and 12th board exams twice a year like JEE. Students can choose their best score. But this will be completely optional, there will be no compulsion.
Board exams are conducted only once a year by all the state boards including CBSE board. Be it UP Board or Rajasthan Board or MP Board or CBSE Board, all the boards conduct class 10th, 12th examinations between February to April. CBSE has been conducting the 10th and 12th board exams from February 15 for the last two years.
