New Delhi, July 04 (HS). Union Law and Justice Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal on Thursday honored 39 officers and personnel of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) by presenting them Police Medals for their distinguished and meritorious services during the Medal Award Ceremony held at the CBI Academy Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh).
On this occasion, Arjun Ram Meghwal said that not only is the importance of CBI being recognized in the society, but its investigation is also excellent. It is clear from the demand for CBI investigation by various concerned parties in complex and sensitive cases from time to time that CBI is considered the best investigating agency.
Meghwal, while highlighting the new criminal laws, said that these laws will make the lives of citizens easier on a large scale. These rules will expedite the delivery of justice and save valuable time of all parties involved in litigation.
Earlier in his welcome address, CBI Director Praveen Sood said that the CBI has started working on the successful implementation of the three new criminal laws. The CBI is working closely with the Ministry. The CBI is ready to assist the states and other concerned parties in implementing these laws.
Addressing the families of the awarded officers and personnel, he said that the officers and personnel have won the awards for their professional hard work, resilience and perseverance, which has brought great honour to the CBI. He also congratulated their families for this.
The 39 CBI officers and personnel who have been awarded the Police Medal include IPS Viplav Kumar Chaudhary, Director, CBI Delhi Zone, IPS Sharad Agarwal, Superintendent of Police, CBI, SU, New Delhi Praveen Mandloi, SP Rajveer Singh.
On the occasion, Dr. Rajiv Mani, Departmental Secretary (Legal Affairs), Ministry of Law & Justice, senior officers of the Ministry of Law & Justice, CBI and other departments and local administration along with 90 family members of the medal recipients were also present.
