CAT expressed the possibility of business worth about Rs 4.25 lakh crore in the festival season.

New Delhi, 14 October (HS). Both traders and consumers are very excited about India's biggest festival Diwali and the series of other festivals related to it. This is the reason why this time the markets of the country are buzzing during the festive season from Raksha Bandhan to Diwali. This year the festive season business is likely to reach Rs 4.25 lakh crore. Last year this figure was about Rs 3.5 lakh crore of business. After the festive season, the wedding season will start. In this too, traders across the country are expecting big business.

Praveen Khandelwal, National General Secretary of Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) and BJP MP from Chandni Chowk seat of Delhi, expects a business of about Rs 4.25 lakh crore in this festival season. Khandelwal said in a statement issued on Monday that CAT has conducted a recent survey among business organizations in business distribution centers located in 70 cities of different states of the country. According to the review report, this year traders across the country have made extensive preparations to meet the demands and preferences of customers on a large scale.

CAT General Secretary said that in view of this, the business of the festive season this year is likely to reach Rs 4.25 lakh crore. He said that last year this figure was of trade worth about Rs 3.5 lakh crore. Khandelwal said that the business figure of this festive season in Rajdharani New Delhi alone can exceed Rs 75 thousand crore. Khandelwal said that the wedding season will start after the festive season. In this too, traders across the country are expecting big business. MP Praveen Khandelwal said that during this festive season, about 70 crore customers shop in the markets. On one hand, there are people who purchase Rs 500 or less. That is why the importance of this festival season in the country is very important from the business point of view.
