Ranchi, July 25 (HS). Two cases of tender scam related to former minister Alamgir Alam and suspended chief engineer of rural development department Virendra Ram have been tagged together. On Thursday, accused in this case Rajkumari Devi and Virendra Ram's father Genda Ram appeared in person in the court of PMLA special judge PK Sharma.
During the hearing, police papers were handed over to all the accused. Now the court will start the process of charge framing. ED is investigating money laundering through tender commission scam in Jharkhand. In this case, ED has arrested many people including former minister Alamgir Alam, his PS Sanjeev Lal and Jahangir Alam, including suspended Engineer-in-Chief of Rural Development Department Virendra Ram. In raids at different places in this case, ED has seized about Rs 35.23 crore and many documents.
