Case registered in CBI against Assistant Superintendent of Postal Department and two others accused of bribery

New Delhi, May 10 (Hindustan Reporter) The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against three people, including an Assistant Superintendent of Hyderabad, on charges of taking bribe. They are accused of demanding a bribe of Rs 25 lakh for the appointment of labourers. All these are posted in Postmaster General Office Hyderabad.

Following the complaint of the complainant, CBI conducted searches at 3 places in Hyderabad. Incriminating documents have been recovered during the search. CBI investigation found that the bribe amount was paid to the Assistant Superintendent twice in succession. Payment was to be made for the third time.

According to CBI, one of the accused had delivered a bribe amount of Rs 2 lakh for himself and Rs 1 lakh for the other to the house of the Assistant Superintendent on 16 July 22. For the second, an additional bribe amount of Rs 50 thousand was to be paid.
