Moradabad, 21 April (HS). A hotel operator resident of Civil Lines police station area of the metropolis had told in the complaint given to the police station on Saturday that a youth resident of Pitalnagri of Katghar police station area in the police station area, stopped her way and first molested her and then did obscene acts. When she protested, the accused started assaulting her and tried to take her away. The victim further told that when her husband reached the spot, the accused ran away from there, threatening her with a pistol. On Sunday, on the complaint of the victim, Civil Lines police station registered a case against the accused and started investigation.
The woman, resident of Camp Chowki area of Civil Lines police station, runs a hotel with her husband in the Civil Lines area. The woman gave a complaint to the Civil Lines Police and said that on April 19, at around 10.30 pm, she was going home alone from the hotel. On the way, Aman, a resident of Pitalnagari, Katghar, stopped him. Aman often visited the woman's hotel as a customer. According to the victim, after stopping her on the way, the accused started talking to her and making obscene comments. On protesting, the accused started abusing and assaulting her. According to the victim, sensing the intention of the accused, she had already called her husband and informed him that Aman had blocked her way. It is alleged that while assaulting the victim, Aman not only molested and sexually assaulted the victim but also tried to kidnap her by dragging her in his car. Meanwhile, the woman's husband reached there with his brother. When the husband arrived, the accused took out the pistol, waved it in the air and threatened him and ran away from there. After which the victim reached the police station and lodged a complaint.
Police Station Civil Lines Inspector RP Sharma said that on the basis of the complaint, a case has been registered against the accused Aman on Sunday under various sections including assault, threatening, molestation. The accused is being searched.
