Case of fraud of Rs 12 crore against 7 including choreographer Remo D'Souza

Mumbai: Eight people, including famous Bollywood choreographer Remo D'Souza and his wife, have been accused of defrauding Bhayander's 'V Unbeatable' dance group of Rs 12 crore. A policeman is also included among the accused. After the order of Bombay High Court, this case has been registered and the investigation of this case has been transferred to Crime Branch-2.

The youth of Bhayandar formed a dance group named 'We Unbeatable'. The manager of this group was Omprakash Chauhan. He created the social media account of the group. The group won a competition on a popular channel. After this he secured second place in America's Got Talent. Famous dance director Rema D'Souza also announced to make a film on the lives of the youth. According to the allegations of the youth, various competitions and events, honor money, prize money, money received for films etc. have been embezzled from them. A complaint was lodged in this regard with Navghar Police and Mira Road Police. But when the case was not registered, these youth approached the Bombay High Court.

The case was registered at Mira Road Police Station after the High Court ordered to register the case. Seven people including director of Remo D'Souza Entertainment Company and famous Bollywood dance director Remo D'Souza, his wife Liezel D'Souza, manager Omprakash Chauhan, Commissionerate Police Officer Vinod Raut, Ramesh Gupta, Rohit Jadhav and Fame Production Company are participating. it. The accused have defrauded a total of Rs 11.96 crore.

Police personnel became accused in an attempt to broker a compromise

After the order of the High Court, the investigation of this case has been handed over to the team of Crime Branch-2 of Mira-Bhayandar, Vasai-Virar Police Commissionerate. We are investigating the matter. All this has happened in the last 6 years. Shahuraj Ranaware, senior police inspector, Crime Branch-II, said, “We are investigating the exact role of the accused and how the fraud was committed. When police officer Vinod Raut was at Navghar police station, he had gone to resolve the dispute. Therefore, he has also been named as an accused in the complaint.
