Prayagraj, 05 July (HS). Allahabad High Court, while disposing of the petition against the notice to remove the shops allotted under the Smart City Project at Varanasi Assi Ghat, has directed the Chairman Divisional Commissioner to resolve the dispute as soon as possible.
This order has been given by the division bench of Justice Anjani Kumar Mishra and Justice Jayant Banerjee on the petition of M/s Blue Salt Restaurant. The petitioner said that the Smart City Project allotted a shop to the petitioner on 18 January 19 at Assi Ghat. 13 such shops have been given to people. The agreement was signed on 11 April 19. But now on 8-10 June 24, the shop allotment has been cancelled and an order has been given to vacate it. In clause 23 of the agreement, in case of dispute between the two parties, the chairman who is the divisional commissioner has the right to settle the dispute. On which the court has directed the petitioner to give a representation to the divisional commissioner Varanasi within ten days and settle it as soon as possible.
