There have been bomb threats on flights for some time now. Then it was revealed that the cartridge was found in an Air India flight. An Air India spokesperson said a cartridge was found in the seat compartment of flight AI 916 after it arrived in Delhi from Dubai on October 27, 2024. However, no passengers were injured and all passengers were evacuated safely after landing. Following the security protocol laid down by Air India, a complaint was immediately lodged with the airport police.

It is noteworthy that in the 13 days before October 26, false bomb information was received in more than 300 Indian Airlines flights. Most of the threats were given through social media. On October 22 alone, around 50 flights including 13 flights of IndiGo and Air India received threats.
